Description
A collection of eight vintage American comic books, all published by DC National Comics, comprising four issues from the "ANTHRO" series and four issues from the "SECRET SIX!" series. Each comic prominently displays a 12¢ cover price, indicative of the Silver Age to early Bronze Age period.
The four "ANTHRO" issues include:
* No. 3 (October 1968), featuring the story "WHAT EVIL LURKS OUTSIDE!"
* No. 4 (February 1969), featuring the story "THE PROPHECY"
* No. 5 (April 1969), featuring the story "THE GIRL WHO WAS A GOD!"
* No. 6 (July-August 1969), featuring the story "RIVER OF NO RETURN!"
The four "SECRET SIX!" issues include:
* No. 1 (May), featuring the story "CODE NAME: MOCKINGBIRD!"
* No. 2 (July), featuring the story "TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD!"
* No. 3 (September), featuring the story "ESCAPE THE ENEMY!"
* No. 4 (November), featuring the story "IT’S CARGO IN TIMER!"
The reverse sides of the comics feature period advertisements for items such as Hot Wheels, Aurora Hobby Kits, American Seeds, and a Skittle-Bowl game. A small white square note with the handwritten number "83" is present with the lot.
Condition report:
Good, handled condition commensurate with age and use. Covers retain vibrant colors with some expected minor edge and corner wear, light creasing, and surface abrasions from use. Spines show minor stress marks. Interiors appear complete and intact.
