Description
A collection of fifteen vintage American comic books featuring the popular Western character Roy Rogers and his horse Trigger, published by Dell Comics. Dating to the mid-20th century, likely from the 1950s or early 1960s, each book originally retailed for 10¢. The items are made of printed paper and cardstock, with various covers depicting Roy Rogers, Trigger, and often other characters or settings relevant to the story titles, which include phrases such as ‘TORNADO,’ ‘ADOBE GOLD,’ ‘SIX-GUN ‘BACKFIRE’,’ ‘THE OUTLAW TRAP,’ ‘DYNAMITE MOUNTAIN,’ ‘TRAIL OF THE KAYAK,’ and ‘AFRICAN SAFARI.’ A small white paper slip with the handwritten number ’90’ is present in the upper left corner of the overall lot.
Condition report:
The collection appears to be in generally fair to good condition, exhibiting expected wear such as minor creasing, edge wear, and some discoloration consistent with age and previous handling.
