Description
A collection of fifteen vintage American comic books, ‘Tarzan of the Apes,’ published by Gold Key Comics and based on the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs. These issues, predominantly from the ‘Collector’s Edition’ series, feature classic adventure pulp art with vibrant covers depicting Tarzan in various action scenes battling animals, indigenous tribes, and mythical creatures. Covers display descriptive captions such as ‘Tarzan’s Quest,’ ‘Tarzan and the Forbidden City,’ ‘Tarzan and the Demon Elephant,’ ‘The Tower of Sheba,’ and ‘Descent into the Past!’. Each issue prominently features the ‘Gold Key’ logo and a ’15c’ cover price. Visible copyright dates on some issues indicate production in the early to mid-1970s, including examples from 1973 and 1974. The comics are printed on standard comic book paper.
Condition report:
Generally good for their age, with colors remaining strong. Minor wear is visible on edges and corners of some copies. Pages are intact.
