Both issues feature storylines involving Superman, Batman, and the Composite Superman. Issue No. 283 contains a Green Arrow backup story with cover art attributed to Frank Giacoia. Issue No. 284 features a guest appearance by the Legion of Super-Heroes. Each 60-cent issue displays the circular DC logo and the Comics Code Authority seal on the front cover.
