This full-size Louisville Slugger professional model C271 baseball bat is constructed from light-colored wood and features signatures from members of the 1989 New York Mets roster. The barrel displays factory-branded markings for Louisville Slugger, Powerized, and Genuine Elster. The piece contains over 25 signatures rendered in blue fiber tip marker, including Gary Carter, Darryl Strawberry, Dwight Gooden, David Cone, Howard Johnson, Frank Viola, Kevin McReynolds, and Gregg Jefferies. The knob end is inscribed with the number 21 in black ink and features a James Spence Authentication hologram. This item is accompanied by a 2008 Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA and a 2021 Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication, certification number XX13848.
