A collection of 12 original Kenner Starting Lineup NBA sports superstar collectible action figures. These figures are constructed of molded plastic and are presented on their original cardboard backer cards with accompanying paper trading cards. The figures feature static poses with minimal articulation at the shoulders. This group represents the early 1990s era of the line and includes several Hall of Fame players and special editions. The inventory features two versions of Magic Johnson (L.A. Lakers), including a 1990 Edition with a 1979 Rookie Year card and a 1991 Special Edition with a collector coin. Also included are 1990 Editions of John Stockton (Utah Jazz), Patrick Ewing (New York Knicks), and Isiah Thomas (Detroit Pistons), each featuring their respective rookie year cards. The collection further contains Scottie Pippen (Chicago Bulls) and Clyde Drexler (Portland Trail Blazers) with Stadium Club cards, Shawn Kemp (Seattle SuperSonics), and two variants of Horace Grant (Chicago Bulls) in away red and white warm-up uniforms. Rounding out the group are figures in a Seattle SuperSonics #40 jersey and a white #35 jersey. Each figure includes its original team-colored display base.
Condition report:
The factory paint on all figures appears bright and intact through the clear blisters. Each pack is complete with the designated figure, display base, and trading cards. The items are in their original un-graded retail packaging and show varying degrees of shelf wear. Observable wear includes corner rounding, light creasing, and minor edge wear on the cardboard backers. Several cards retain original retail price stickers or adhesive residue. The clear plastic blisters are generally well-attached to the cards, though some exhibit light surface scuffing and minor indentations.
