This lot features an authentic hand-signed note from the late Bob Watson, a highly respected Major League Baseball player and executive. Watson, a two-time All-Star, holds the distinction of scoring the one-millionth run in MLB history and later served as the General Manager for the Houston Astros and the World Series-winning New York Yankees. The autograph is written in bold black marker on a fragment of yellow lined paper and includes the personalized inscription All the Best Bob Watson MLB/TEAM USA. The signed fragment is mounted on a white card and is accompanied by a James Spence Authentication JSA Basic Certification card with a matching tamper-evident sticker, certification number CF97751. A small wooden display easel is included with the item for presentation.
Condition report:
The autograph and inscription are in excellent condition, appearing bold and clear with no signs of fading or ink transfer. The yellow paper fragment is an informal, irregular cut and is securely mounted to a clean white card. The JSA certification sticker is affixed to the lower right of the mount. The accompanying JSA certification card is present and shows only minor handling wear.
