This lot features a collection of twelve professional-grade Rawlings baseballs, providing a chronological cross-section of Major League Baseball administration from the late 1980s through the 1990s. The assembly includes at least three Official American League baseballs featuring the printed signature of President Dr. Bobby Brown (tenure 1984-1994), at least two Official National League baseballs with the signature of President William D. White (tenure 1989-1994), and at least three Official National League baseballs with the signature of President Leonard S. Coleman (tenure 1994-1999). Also included is one Official Major League Baseball featuring the signature of Commissioner Allan H. Bud Selig and the modern MLB logo. The balls are constructed with white leather and red stitching, with many featuring the Cushioned Cork Center stamp and Costa Rica manufacturing marks. Condition report:
The baseballs are in ungraded, used condition with wear consistent with field use or handling. The leather surfaces show varying degrees of age-related toning and yellowing. Surface dirt and scuffing are present across the collection. Notable staining and spotting are visible on multiple examples, specifically the third and fourth balls in the second row. Some of the blue and black ink stamps and league president signatures show signs of fading. No significant structural damage to the stitching is observed.
