A group of vintage The Sporting News magazine covers and issues dating from the mid-1970s through the mid-1980s. The collection includes the August 16, 1975 issue featuring Al Hrabosky, the May 9, 1983 issue featuring Nolan Ryan, the December 5, 1983 issue featuring Dan Marino, and the July 8, 1985 issue featuring Vince Coleman. Each cover is hand-signed in ink by the featured athlete. The publications are printed on newsprint. Three of the covers have original mailing labels affixed to the lower right corner addressed to a recipient in Dallastown, Pennsylvania. Puncture marks are located along the left margins of the items.
