BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Jim "Catfish" Hunter Autographed "Strike Out Diabetes" Program Sheet, JSA Authenticated
This lot features an original orange cardstock informational flyer and program sheet for the "Strike Out Diabetes" awareness event held at Yankee Stadium on September 7, 1990. The event was produced by the American Diabetes Association and sponsored by the pharmaceutical company Upjohn. The center of the sheet displays a black-and-white graphic illustration of National Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Jim "Catfish" Hunter in his iconic pitching motion. The item is boldly signed by Jim "Catfish" Hunter in black felt-tip marker across the central illustration. Hunter, a legendary pitcher for the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics and the New York Yankees, was a prominent advocate for diabetes awareness, having lived with the disease himself during his professional career. The autograph has been professionally authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA) and is accompanied by a JSA Basic Certification card with matching certification number CH61028. A tamper-evident JSA authentication sticker is affixed to the lower-right corner of the flyer.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition. The orange cardstock remains vibrant with sharp corners and no visible creases, tears, or staining. The signature is bold, clear, and displays high contrast against the background. The accompanying JSA certification card is also in excellent condition.
