This lot comprises 17 vintage DC comic books from the late 1970s through the early 1990s. The group includes eleven individual comic book titles and six reference volumes from the DC Universe directory series. Key individual issues include Aquaman number 57 (September 1977) with cover art by Jim Aparo featuring the conclusion of the Death of a Prince storyline; Ghosts number 100 (May 1981) milestone issue with cover art by Rich Buckler; and Armageddon 2001 Special number 1 (May 1991) featuring the first appearance of Waverider with art by Dan Jurgens and Dick Giordano. Other featured titles are Plastic Man number 20 (November 1977), Freedom Fighters number 15 (August 1978), Super-Stars Giant: Strange Sports Stories number 10 (December 1978), Adventure Comics presents Dial H for Hero number 488 (December 1981), Arak Son of Thunder number 2 (October 1981), Warlord number 50 (October 1981) with Mike Grell cover art, Blackhawk number 252 (November 1982), and Super Powers number 4 (December 1986). Condition report:
The condition of the lot ranges from fair to fine. Typical signs of age and storage are visible including spine stress lines, minor edge wear, and corner blunting. Significant damage is present on Aquaman number 57, which has a large triangular piece missing from the lower right front cover and visible chipping. Warlord number 50 shows distinct tanning along the outer vertical edge. Several issues are stored in individual protective bags.
