This lot features 12 individual comic books from the Teen Titans series published by DC Comics (National Periodical Publications) between 1966 and 1972. The inventory includes the following issues: #5 (Oct 1966), #22 (Aug 1969), #26 (Apr 1970), #27 (June 1970), #28 (Aug 1970), #30 (Dec 1970), #32 (Apr 1971), #39 (June 1972, two copies), #41 (Oct 1972), and #42 (Dec 1972, two copies). Key issues in this collection include issue #22, which features the first appearance of Lilith Clay, and issue #26, which features the first appearance of Mal Duncan. Cover art for the majority of these issues is attributed to Nick Cardy. The comics depict the superhero team consisting of Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Speedy, with later issues featuring Hawk and Dove. All issues are original US newsstand editions.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition and are individually stored in clear plastic protective sleeves with backing boards. The collection is in mixed condition, generally ranging from Good to Very Fine. Issue #5 shows the most pronounced wear, including spine stress, edge chipping, and corner blunting. The remaining issues exhibit typical signs of age and handling, such as minor spine ticks and light cover creasing. Some protective sleeves have price stickers from previous retail environments attached.
