This collection consists of 11 comic books from the late 1980s and 1990s, featuring titles from Image Comics, NOW Comics, Dark Horse Comics, and Eclipse Comics. These items are saddle-stitched paper periodicals.
The lot includes the following titles:
Image Comics: The Maxx issue number 1 (March 1993) featuring the first appearance of The Maxx and Julie Winters with cover art by Sam Kieth; and two copies of Youngblood issue number 1 (April 1992) by Rob Liefeld, which is the first Image Comics publication and features the first appearance of the team.
NOW Comics: The Terminator Special Collectors Edition issue number 1 (August 1988), the first Terminator comic book series ever published; Racer X Special Collectors Item issue number 1 (September 1988); and The Green Hornet issue number 1 (September 1989).
Image / Homage Comics: Leave It To Chance issue numbers 1, 2, and 3 (September-November 1996) featuring cover art by Paul Smith.
Dark Horse Comics: The Terminator: Hunters and Killers issue number 1 (1992).
Eclipse Comics: The Dirty Pair: A Plague of Angels issue number 1 (circa 1990).
Each comic is individually protected in a plastic sleeve with a cardboard backing board.
Condition report:
These comic books are in raw, uncertified condition and generally appear to range from Good to Very Fine. The covers are flat with vibrant colors. Minor spine stress lines are visible on several issues, notably on the Racer X and Dark Horse Terminator issues. Some issues exhibit minor corner blunting and shelf wear consistent with uncertified books of this era. No significant tearing or cover detachment is evident from visual inspection.
