This collection consists of nine vintage comic books published by the Red Circle Comics Group, an imprint of Archie Comics, dating from their superhero relaunch between 1983 and 1984. The lot includes the premiere issues and early runs of several series. The Black Hood is represented by issue numbers 1, 2, and 3, all featuring cover art by artist Alex Toth. Comet is included with issue numbers 1 and 2, with the first issue reintroducing the character as a cosmic avenger. The Fly is represented by issue number 2, featuring a cover by artist Jim Steranko, and two copies of issue number 3, which features cover art by Steve Ditko. Condition report:
The comic books generally appear to be in Very Fine to Near Mint condition. Covers exhibit high gloss and vibrant color saturation with minimal surface wear. Edges and corners remain sharp with minor blunting observed on select issues. Spines appear tight with very few visible stress lines. One copy of The Fly number 3 and Black Hood number 1 show very minor edge softening. There is no evidence of cover detachment or spine rolls.
