This is a collection of six issues of Amazing Heroes magazine, published by Fantagraphics Books between January and April 1985. The lot includes issue numbers 63, 64, 65, 67, 68, and 69. Issue number 63, dated January 15, features characters from B.C. Boyer’s The Masked Man on the cover and includes a feature titled Star Wars in the Comics! Issue number 64, dated February 1, features a Moon Knight cover with art by Bill Sienkiewicz. Issue number 65, dated February 15, features Solomon Kane with art by John Bolton and includes previews of Chris Claremont and John Bolton’s Black Dragon. Issue number 67, dated March 15, features various Marvel characters for a Secret Wars II! behind-the-scenes feature. Issue number 68, dated April 1, is an April Fool’s issue featuring Ambush Bug with cover art by Keith Giffen and Terry Austin. Condition report:
The magazines are in raw, unslabbed condition and generally present as mid-to-high grade. Covers remain bright with some signs of light handling and shelf wear. Spines show minor stress lines and color-breaking ticks, most notable on issue number 69. Issue number 63 shows light age-toning to the white background areas. Issue number 68 has a small diagonal crease at the upper left corner. All covers appear firmly attached at the staples. No major tears, stains, or missing pages are noted upon exterior inspection.
