A collection of six vintage comic books from the UK publication series The Super Heroes Monthly, published by London Editions in association with DC Comics. This group includes a consecutive run from Volume 1, comprising Issue No. 7 through Issue No. 12, all dated 1981. These monthly UK anthologies feature 40p cover prices and unique cover art produced for the British market. Issue No. 7 from June 1981 is a Superman II Special Movie Issue featuring Superman, General Zod, Ursa, and Non. Issue No. 8 from July 1981 depicts Superman and The Flash racing a high-speed train. Issue No. 9 from August 1981 features Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman with cover art signed by Bob Wakelin in the lower right corner. Issue No. 10 from September 1981 features The Huntress and Batman in Gotham City. Condition report:
The comics are in unslabbed condition and generally range from Very Good to Fine. Issue No. 12 contains three punch holes along the top edge, consistent with storage in a ring binder. All issues exhibit minor spine stress lines and light rubbing along the edges. Colors remain bright across the covers with minor corner blunting present on most issues. Issue No. 7 shows more pronounced shelf wear along the edges compared to the others in the set. No cover detachments are noted.
