This collection consists of three magazine-sized comic publications from the Marvel Comics Group under the Curtis Magazines imprint, all dating to 1975. The first item is Marvel Preview No. 2 (Fall 1975), a key issue featuring the first solo story and origin of the Punisher, with a painted cover by Gray Morrow. The second item is Kull and the Barbarians No. 1 (May 1975), the premiere issue of the series based on characters created by Robert E. Howard, with a painted cover by Michael Whelan. These items are in raw, unslabbed condition. Marvel Preview No. 2 exhibits spine stress lines, color-breaking creases on the front cover, and blunted corners. Kull and the Barbarians No. 1 shows spine ticks and light edge wear. Marvel Movie Premiere No. 1 displays heavier spine wear with associated color breaking, corner blunting, and edge wear. General aging including possible interior tanning is consistent with 1970s newsstand magazines. Covers appear to be fully attached.
