This lot consists of 10 comic books published by Dark Horse Comics, encompassing three complete limited series from the Grendel Tales anthology line based on the universe created by Matt Wagner. The collection features the five-issue series Grendel Tales: The Devil in Our Midst (Issues 1 through 5), released circa 1994, written by Steven T. Seagle with art and covers by Paul Grist. Also included is the complete two-issue series Grendel Tales: Devils and Deaths (Issues 1 and 2), released circa 1994, written by Darko Macan with art and covers by Edvin Biukovic. The third series is the complete three-issue run of Grendel Tales: Homecoming (Issues 1 through 3), released circa 1995, written and illustrated by Pat McEown. These 10 comic books are raw, unpressed copies presented in individual bags and boards. Based on visual inspection, the issues appear to be in mid-to-high grade condition, generally ranging from Fine to Very Fine. The covers remain securely attached at the staples. Spines show minor stress marks and typical surface wear for unpressed raw copies. Corners are mostly sharp with only minor blunting or handling wear visible. There is no evidence of professional grading, restoration, or major defects.
