This group consists of approximately 21 unslabbed modern age comic books published by Marvel Comics and its Star Comics imprint between 1982 and 2000. The collection centers on premiere issues and limited series debuts. Notable inclusions are Marvel Super Hero Contest of Champions #1 (1982), Marvel’s inaugural limited series with cover art by George Perez, and The Vision and the Scarlet Witch #1 (1982). Other premiere issues feature Fantastic Four Versus the X-Men #1 (1987), Spellbound #1 (1988), and Maverick #1 (1997). The lot also contains two copies of The Sword of Solomon Kane #1 (1985).

Event-based issues include X-Men Onslaught #1 and Marvel Onslaught Universe #1. Iron Man (A Universe X Special) #1 (2000) features cover art by Alex Ross. This assortment contains a mix of Direct Edition and Newsstand Edition copies. Most issues are stored in protective plastic sleeves with cardboard backing boards.
Condition report:
The collection is in an overall estimated Mid-to-High Grade range of Very Fine (VF) to Near Mint (NM). The Silver Sable #1 foil cover appears well-preserved. Occasional minor shelf wear, corner blunting, and light paper yellowing characteristic of newsstand grade paper may be present on older issues. No severe spine rolling or cover detachment is noted.
