This collection consists of nine vintage comic books primarily published by Harvey Comics, Gold Key (Western Publishing Company, Inc.), and Charlton Comics during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The assortment features popular animated characters of the era across several titles. Included in this lot are: Timmy the Timid Ghost No. 17 (Charlton Comics, July 1970); Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost No. 143 (Harvey Comics, March); Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost No. 78 (Harvey Comics, February); Sad Sack No. 257 (Harvey World, July); TV Casper and Friends No. 2 (Giant Harvey Comics, November); Casper the Friendly Ghost No. 125 (Harvey Comics, January); Casper’s Ghostland No. 86 (Harvey Comics, September); Gold Key Spotlight No. 90298-707 featuring Wacky Witch; and Wacky Witch No. 4 (Gold Key, April). The comics are presented in individual clear protective plastic sleeves.
Condition report:
The comics are in raw, ungraded condition, generally ranging from Fair to Very Good. Common defects throughout the collection include spine wear with stress lines, color-breaking creases, blunted corners, and surface scuffing. Specific notable defects include significant ink and crayon markings on the cover of Spooky No. 78, which also has a large tear and paper loss at the upper spine. Timmy the Timid Ghost No. 17 and Casper\'s Ghostland No. 86 both feature names written in pen on the front covers. Sad Sack No. 257 shows heavy cover creasing. No covers appear to be detached, though several show fragility along the spine.
