This collection contains four comic books from the Mechanics mini-series published by Fantagraphics Books in 1985. The lot includes a complete set of issues one through three, along with a duplicate copy of issue number one. The series reprints stories by Jaime Hernandez featuring characters from the Love and Rockets universe, including Maggie the Mechanic, Hopey, and Penny Century. Issue number one (two copies) features an introduction by Alan Moore and cover art signed JAIME 84. Issue number two features an introduction by Wendy Pini and cover art signed JAIME 85. Issue number three features cover art signed JAIME 85. All issues are standard first printings in their original staple-bound format. The front covers feature various character portraits labeled Race, Penny, Rena, Hopey, Tse Tse, and Duke.

The comics appear to be in very good, collectible condition. The covers show vibrant colors with no significant fading or visible stains.
