A collection of six DC Vertigo comic books featuring the supernatural characters of the Trenchcoat Brigade. The lot includes the complete four-issue limited series of The Trenchcoat Brigade (1999) along with two one-shot issues from the Vertigo Visions imprint.
The Trenchcoat Brigade issues 1, 2, 3, and 4 (March 1999 – June 1999) were written by John Ney Rieber with interior art by John Ridgway. All covers for this series were illustrated by Glenn Fabry and include signatures dated 98 within the artwork.
Vertigo Visions: Phantom Stranger issue 1 (1993) features writing by Alisa Kwitney and art by Guy Davis.
Vertigo Visions: Doctor Occult issue 1 (1994) features writing and illustration by Dave Louapre and Dan Sweetman.
These items are modern age American comic books with color illustrations and stapled wraps.
Condition report:
The collection is presented in raw, ungraded condition. The Trenchcoat Brigade limited series is in overall Very Fine condition, characterized by high gloss and vibrant colors with minor spine stress marks. Vertigo Visions: Phantom Stranger issue 1 shows light spine stress and minor wear at the corners. Vertigo Visions: Doctor Occult issue 1 displays visible spine ticks and minor shelf wear along the edges. All covers remain securely attached to the staples.
