This collection consists of five modern-age comic books from the JLA (Justice League of America) series published by DC Comics in the United States. The group includes JLA issue 7 (July 1997) featuring the Rage of Angels storyline; JLA issue 17 (April 1998) containing the Prometheus Unbound story which includes the first full appearance of the modern Prometheus; JLA issue 44 (August 2000) featuring part two of the Tower of Babel story arc; JLA issue 59 (December 2001) which is a tie-in for the Joker: Last Laugh crossover event; and JLA issue 66 (July 2002) featuring the story A Storm of Crows. Each issue is a standard color print production. Cover artists featured in this lot include Howard Porter, John Dell, Arnie Jorgensen, David Meikis, Drew Geraci, Daryl Banks, Wayne Faucher, Doug Mahnke, and Tom Nguyen.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, uncertified condition and are housed in protective plastic bags with backing boards. The lot is generally in mid-to-high grade condition. Visible wear includes minor spine stress marks on issue 7, slight corner blunting on issue 44, and minor spine ticks on issue 66. Issue 17 appears to have crisp edges and issue 59 shows well-preserved cover gloss. No significant cover detachment or major structural damage is noted through the protective sleeves.
