A grouping of vintage tabletop role-playing game manuals and fantasy periodicals. The collection includes a hardcover edition of the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition Dungeon Master’s Guide (TSR, Inc., 1989, product code 2100) featuring pictorial boards. The set further contains several softcover manuals and magazines: Star Frontiers Alpha Dawn Basic Game Rules and Expanded Game Rules (TSR, Inc., 1983); Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Odyssey campaign setting Jakandor, Island of War by Kirk Botula (TSR, Inc., 1998); Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 Illustrated Movie Special (Summer 1999) with cover art by Simon Bisley; and Famous Monsters of Filmland issue number 60 (Warren Magazine, December 1969) featuring cover art by Basil Gogos depicting the Frankenstein monster. Books and magazines are bound in original publisher’s pictorial boards or wrappers. Interior pages feature various illustrations, maps, and technical game data. Condition report:
Condition ranges from fair to good. The Dungeon Master\'s Guide shows heavy shelf wear, including fraying at the spine ends, bumped corners, and surface scuffing to the boards. The Star Frontiers rulebooks exhibit moderate edge wear, spine creasing, and handling marks. The magazines and the Jakandor module show moderate surface wear, minor corner creasing, and expected age-toning to the paper stock. No dust jackets were issued with these editions.
