This collection comprises a group of original Amateur Press Association (APA) mailings and fanzines produced by CAPA-alpha (K-a), a prominent group in the comic book fandom community. Included are issue number 217 (November 1982), issue number 219 (January 1983), and issue number 220 (February 1983), as well as a multi-page individual contribution titled UKITUK!! number 3. Issue number 217 features a satirical mechanical cover with a liftable paper flap that reveals a caricatured self-portrait of a contributor identified as Rocky, with accompanying typed text. Issue number 219 features a cover illustration signed by Chadwick, depicting the character Kaptain Alpha with Benjamin Franklin. Issue number 220 features a four-panel red cover dedicated to the month of February, including content on groundhogs, presidents, and valentines. The UKITUK!! number 3 mailing contains multi-page typed and hand-drawn satirical content, including a comic strip parodying Fred Hembeck and various personal travelogues and fan commentary. These documents were produced using period amateur publishing techniques, likely photocopying or mimeographing on varying weights of paper.

Condition report:

The group is in good vintage condition. There is expected light toning to the paper stock throughout. Several items show minor edge wear, soft corner creasing, and light surface scuffing. The staples show minor oxidation. The mechanical flap on issue 217 is intact and functional. One interior page shows a small closed tear at the top edge not affecting the text.
