A group of nine vintage DC comic books spanning the late Silver Age through the mid-Bronze Age. The collection includes a mix of superhero, war, fantasy, and sports titles. Featured issues include All-Star Comics #59 (April 1976), featuring the Justice Society of America and the second appearance of Power Girl with cover art signed by Ernie Chua; Justice League of America #101 (September 1972) featuring a JLA/JSA crossover with cover art signed by Nick Cardy; and The Forever People #5 (October-November 1971) from Jack Kirby’s Fourth World series with cover art signed by Kirby and Giacoia. The collection contains premiere issues including Weird Worlds #1 (September 1972) featuring Edgar Rice Burroughs’ characters John Carter of Mars and David Innes, and Champion Sports #1 (October-November 1973). Additional titles include Our Army at War #280 (May 1975) 50-cent Giant anniversary issue with cover art signed by Joe Kubert, The Brave and the Bold #110 (January 1974) featuring Batman and Wildcat with cover art signed by Jim Aparo, Superboy #196 (July 1973), and Superman’s Girl Friend Lois Lane #125 (August 1972). Seven of the nine issues are housed in protective bags with backing boards.
Condition report:
The collection displays a range of conditions. Bagged and boarded issues generally appear in the Fine to Very Fine range, exhibiting sharp corners and minimal surface wear. Unbagged issues, specifically Our Army at War #280 and Champion Sports #1, show more pronounced wear including visible spine stress, edge wear, corner creasing, and minor blunting. No major cover detachments are observed from external inspection. All items are in raw, uncertified condition.
