BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Six Autographed University of Nebraska Cornhuskers Football 8×10 Photographs with COAs
This collection consists of six autographed 8×10 color photographs featuring prominent former University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football players from the program’s dominant era in the 1990s and early 2000s. The set includes multiple National Championship winners and award-winning athletes.
Individual photographs include two identical color images of defensive end Grant Wistrom in his red number 98 home jersey, both signed in black felt-tip marker with the inscription Grant Wistrom #98 94, 95, 97 National Champs!. One dual-signed color photograph features brothers Christian (number 55) and Jason (number 95) Peter, with inscriptions noting their respective championship years. One action photograph features 2001 Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch in a white number 7 away jersey, signed Eric Crouch 2001 Heisman 7. The collection is rounded out by two different photographs of defensive end Jared Tomich in his number 93 jersey, one showing him on the sideline and another in an action pursuit pose, each with specific championship or All-American inscriptions.
Authentication is provided by three Certificates of Authenticity from Home Plate Autographs (HPA) for the Wistrom, Peter, and Tomich photographs, which include athlete signing photos and matching serialized holograms. The Eric Crouch autograph is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Crescent Collectibles of Crescent, Iowa.
Dimensions: 8 x 10 inches each.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
Condition report:
The photographs are in excellent condition, showing no signs of creasing, surface wear, or corner damage. The signatures and inscriptions remain bold, clear, and high-contrast against the photographic backgrounds.
