BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! An Assortment of Vintage MLB Baseball Trading Cards, 1980s Topps, Donruss, and Fleer

An extensive collection of vintage Major League Baseball trading cards primarily dating from 1983 to 1987. The group includes various manufacturers such as Topps, Donruss, and Fleer. Significant cards identified within the lot include several rookie cards and star player issues: a 1987 Topps Bo Jackson number 170 (Future Stars), 1987 Topps Barry Bonds number 320, 1987 Topps Rafael Palmeiro number 634, 1987 Topps Will Clark number 24, 1983 Topps Tony Gwynn number 360 rookie card, 1986 Topps Roger Clemens number 661, and a 1985 Donruss Danny Tartabull number 190 (Rated Rookie). Other notable star cards include Mark McGwire, Nolan Ryan, Pete Rose, Jim Rice, Rickey Henderson, Eddie Murray, and Darryl Strawberry. The cards represent several complete or near-complete sets, including 1987 Topps identified by wood-grain borders, 1986 Topps with black top borders, 1985 Donruss with black borders and horizontal stripes, and 1983 Topps with dual photo design. The collection is housed in multiple cardboard storage boxes, including one labeled for the 1987 Topps 792-card complete set.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The cards are in raw, ungraded condition. Many of the primary star and rookie cards are protected in individual plastic top-loaders or penny sleeves and appear to have sharp corners and good centering upon visual inspection. Cards stored in bulk rows show typical light edge and corner wear consistent with age and period storage.
