BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of 18 Autographed Football Trading Cards Featuring Hall of Famers and Collegiate Coaches

A collection of 18 autographed football trading cards, comprising a mix of vintage and modern issues from various manufacturers including Topps, Upper Deck, Pro Set, and Pro Line. The lot features hand-signed cards from several Pro Football Hall of Famers, Heisman Trophy winners, and legendary collegiate coaches. Notable Hall of Fame signatures include Charlie Joiner on a 1982 Topps In Action card, James Lofton on a 1982 Topps Super Action card, and Mike Ditka on a 1992 Pro Line Profiles card. Heisman Trophy winners represented include two-time winner Archie Griffin on a 1976 Topps card and John Lattner on a Pittsburgh Steelers tribute card. The collection also includes collegiate coaching legends Lou Holtz and Ara Parseghian on Notre Dame themed cards. A significant portion of the lot features Atlanta Falcons players, including Tim Dwight (1998 Topps), Chuck Smith (Upper Deck Victory), Travis Hall (1998 Topps), O.J. Santiago (1998 Topps), Byron Hanspard (1997 Upper Deck Choice), and Reginald Kelly (1999 Upper Deck Victory). Other NFL veterans included are Herman Edwards (1978 Topps), Joe Ferguson (Pro Set Legends), Ray Rhodes (1979 Topps), Tom Woodeshick (1970 Topps), and Danny Kanell (Upper Deck Advantage).

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The cards appear to be in good overall condition and are individually housed in protective plastic toploaders or semi-rigid holders. The autographs are executed in black or blue felt-tip marker and remain bold and legible. There are no visible third-party authentication stickers or certificates of authenticity (COAs) accompanying this lot; the signatures are offered as-is.
