This is a 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card, numbered 1 in the set. The card front features a color photograph of Griffey in a Seattle Mariners cap with a bat over his shoulder. Identification marks on the front include the name Ken Griffey Jr. printed vertically on the right, an OF position indicator in the top left, a circular Star Rookie logo in the top right, and the Upper Deck logo in the bottom right. The reverse of the card includes a biographical narrative, minor league statistics from the 1988 season with Vermont and San Bern., and a diamond-shaped anti-counterfeit hologram on the right side. The card is housed in a clear plastic top-loader.
Condition report:
The card is in ungraded condition. Visual inspection of the front shows centering is shifted toward the top and right edges. Corners appear sharp and well-defined. Edges are clean without significant visible chipping. The surface exhibits good color and the reverse hologram remains intact and properly adhered.
