BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Vintage and Commemorative Sports Trading Cards and Sets

A collection of assorted sports trading cards and commemorative sets, primarily focusing on baseball from the late 1980s through the late 1990s. The lot includes several factory-sealed and boxed sets alongside individually encased cards. Featured items include a factory-sealed Pacific 1998 Mark McGwire Home Run History set commemorating home run number 62 on September 8, 1998. Also present is a factory-sealed Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons 10th Anniversary All-Time Team set. A Topps 1990 Kmart Super Stars set is contained within a clear hinged storage case, displaying Joe Magrane on the top card. Individual cards housed in protective hard cases include a 1990 Mike Lieberthal Rookie Card (number 3) from the Premiere Classic Edition, a ProCards Greg Legg infielder card for the Scranton/W-B Red Barons, and a watercolor-style Martinez Jackson second base card. Additional items include a Gold Standard Y.A. Tittle Hall of Fame football card labeled as limited edition 1 of 20,000, a Classic Andre King card for the Macon Braves, and a sleeved pack featuring a Pete Gray card with a printed signature and green border.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The factory-sealed sets appear to be in original retail condition with the shrink wrap intact. Cards within the hard plastic cases generally show sharp corners and edges. There is no evidence of professional grading by third-party services. Minor surface scuffing is visible on some of the external plastic storage cases and sleeves.
