BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Nine Signed New York Yankees Photographs and One Joe Pepitone Signature Card

This lot comprises a collection of signed sports memorabilia primarily featuring players from the New York Yankees 1950s and 1960s eras. The collection includes nine 8×10 photographs and one signature card. Significant items include a black-and-white photograph of Don Larsen’s 1956 World Series perfect game, signed in blue ink and inscribed WSPG 10-8-56. A black-and-white action photograph is signed by Bobby Richardson and inscribed 60 WS MVP. A color photograph of Phil Rizzuto at bat is signed in blue ink. Two photographs are signed by Clete Boyer: one action shot inscribed W.S. Champs + Play 1961, and one locker room shot with Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle, personalized to Aimee and inscribed W.S. CHAMPS 1961 1962. A modern color photograph is signed by Joe Pepitone and is accompanied by a separate signature on white paper and a reference photo of the player. Other items include a black-and-white action photo signed by Gil McDougald, and a group photo featuring Mickey Mantle that is signed by Hank Bauer and Moose Skowron. Also included is a black-and-white photograph of boxer Carmen Basilio with Yogi Berra, signed by Basilio; this item features an ELITE Sports Marketing hologram sticker. The photographs are a mix of black-and-white and color prints on standard photographic paper.

Dimensions: Approximately 8 x 10 inches each.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
