BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of 1985 and 1987 Topps WWF Wrestling Trading Cards Including Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart

A large collection of vintage World Wrestling Federation (WWF) trading cards produced by Topps in 1985 and 1987. The group consists of several hundred base cards, duplicates, and highlighted star cards. Featured items from the 1985 Topps WWF sets include Hulk Hogan card number 1 featuring the championship belt, Rowdy Roddy Piper card number 2, and several Hulk Hogan subset cards such as American-Made, Champ in the Ring, and Listening to Hulk. The collection also contains die-cut sticker inserts from 1985 including Hulk Hogan card number 1, Jesse card number 7, and Jimmy card number 10. The 1987 Topps WWF cards are identified by their red, white, and blue star borders and include notable cards such as Bret Hit Man Hart card number 41, Randy Macho Man Savage and Elizabeth card number 2, and Jimmy Superfly Snuka card number 16. The cards are housed in a cardboard storage box with an approximate 800-count capacity. Each card features the vintage World Wrestling Federation block logo. The box is marked with a yellow adhesive note reading WWE, a stamped UF on the inner flap, and the word MISC handwritten in black marker on the side.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:

The collection is in ungraded, raw condition. Highlighted cards are stored in protective plastic penny sleeves and top loaders and appear well-preserved with vibrant colors. Visible corners on several key cards appear sharp. Centering varies throughout the lot, with the 1987 Bret Hart card showing an off-center alignment toward the bottom edge. The storage box shows moderate wear consistent with age and use.
