Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Trio of Items Including a US $10 Bison Note Official Reprint and Rudy Vallee Signed Ephemera
This lot features three items of interest for collectors of US currency and entertainment memorabilia. The central item is a US $10.00 Series of 1901 Legal Tender Bison Note official reprint, produced by the Bureau of Engraving & Printing for the 2004 Lewis & Clark Coin and Currency Set. The note displays a central vignette of an American bison flanked by portraits of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. This specimen features a red SPECIMEN overprint, a red Treasury seal, and red denominational accents. It is issued without a serial number and is authenticated in a PMG holder with certification number 2176813-016. The second item is a personal cancelled check from the Manufacturers Trust Company, New York, dated June 20, 1935, made payable to James Harrison for $40.00. The check bears a signature by Rudy Vallee in purple ink and contains standard bank cancellation perforations. The third item is a copy of sheet music for Old New England Moon, published by Irving Berlin, Inc. in 1930. The cover features a portrait of Rudy Vallee and includes a handwritten inscription and signature: To mom n her boyhood days… Rudy Vallee.
Condition report:
The US $10.00 Bison Note reprint is in uncirculated condition as issued by the BEP, and the PMG holder is intact. The cancelled check shows standard bank processing markings including punch-hole perforations and stamps, along with light age-related toning. The sheet music exhibits overall age-toning, minor edge wear, and handling creases consistent with paper ephemera of its age.
