This is a 1950s-era figural advertising display for Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, featuring a nostalgic old-time boxer character. The central figure is constructed of a molded composition material and is hand-painted, depicting a boxer with a handlebar mustache and blushed cheeks. He is dressed in a white tank top, red sash, and blue-and-white striped trunks, posed with his right arm raised in a victory salute. The figure stands within a simulated boxing ring created with four black posts and yellow cord ropes. A 12-ounce brown glass Pabst Blue Ribbon bottle with original paper labels sits on the ring floor behind the boxer. The molded base features raised blue lettering on the front that reads Pabst Blue Ribbon followed by a registered trademark symbol. The side of the base features raised red lettering in a decorative script that reads Original. The bottle labels display the Pabst logo and text including Highest Quality and Selected as Americas Best in 1893. A small circular opening is present in the top of the base, suggesting this may have originally been manufactured as a lamp.

Condition report:

The display is in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. There are scattered scuffs and paint chips on the boxer figure, most notably on the nose, cheeks, and knuckles of the raised glove. The glass bottle exhibits significant white spotting and surface residue across much of the exterior. The paper labels remain intact but show minor edge wear and age-related toning. The base and posts have minor paint loss and scuffing around the edges. The cord ropes are intact but show some slackening.
