BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Cigaretten-Bilderdienst. Kampf um’s Dritte Reich: Historische Bilderfolge. 1933.
This is a historical German cigarette card album (Sammelalbum) titled Kampf um’s Dritte Reich: Historische Bilderfolge (The Struggle for the Third Reich: Historical Image Sequence), published by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst in Altona-Bahrenfeld. The volume is a large quarto-format hardcover bound in tan textured boards with gold-embossed Fraktur script and an embossed eagle motif on the front cover. The cover features a central color plate depicting a classical chariot pulled by four horses with a figure holding a swastika flag. The interior contains printed German text in Fraktur script and numerous tipped-in color photographic cards documenting events of the National Socialist movement between 1924 and 1933. Notable content includes a full-page black-and-white frontispiece portrait of Adolf Hitler captioned Der Fuhrer, as well as images of the 1926 Weimar Party Day, Horst Wessel, and political rallies leading up to the appointment of the Chancellor on January 30, 1933. Internal headings include Wiederaufbau (Reconstruction), N. S. B. O. (Nationalsozialistische Betriebszellenorganisation), 30. Januar 1933, and Die neue Zeit (The New Era). The album concludes with images symbolizing the movement’s rise to power.
Condition report:
The album is in good condition with signs of age and handling. The exterior boards show light shelf wear, minor rubbing to the gold-embossed lettering, and light bumping to the corners. The interior pages exhibit minor age-related toning and light foxing at the edges. The tipped-in photographic cards appear to be complete and securely attached to the pages. The binding is firm and the hinges are intact.
