Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! An Assortment of New York Yankees Commemorative Memorabilia and Fan Collectibles
An assortment of New York Yankees memorabilia and fan collectibles, featuring items honoring Hall of Fame players and stadium history. The collection includes a bronze-tone resin statuette of Phil Rizzuto on a base inscribed Phil Rizzuto and Yankee Stadium, August 4, 2001. A Derek Jeter tribute plaque sponsored by Bank of America features a relief portrait and text detailing his career as The Captain from 1995 to 2014. Also present is a detailed resin replica model of the original Yankee Stadium. Two boxed Cooperstown Collection Action Display Rocker items feature Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle, produced in collaboration with Kodak.
The lot contains multiple commemorative medallions, including two for the final season of Yankee Stadium (1923-2008) and one from the 2007 season with the slogan Where Players Become Legends. Paper ephemera includes a Yankee Stadium rain check ticket dated Friday, May 20, 1994, several 1997 Hall of Fame Weekend admission tickets for players Don Larsen and Johnny Van Der Meer, a set of Budweiser brand coasters featuring the team logo, and a New Jersey Lottery Winning Legends scratch-off ticket.
Additional novelties include a 1996 World Champions glass ornament, two Yankees-themed ornaments in original clear packaging, a miniature souvenir baseball glove paired with a silver-tone commemorative baseball, and a Crownmark brand Double Play pen and keychain gift set in its original packaging.
Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.
