Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! This vintage 1960s Washington Redskins (now Commanders) football bobblehead, also known as a nodder, is an example of the boy face series characterized by its youthful facial features, rosy cheeks, and blue eyes. The figure is constructed from a composition material, likely a papier-mâché mixture common for the era. The player is depicted wearing a burgundy jersey with the team name REDSKINS printed in white block lettering across the chest, paired with gold-colored pants and brown shoes. He is shown cradling a brown football in his right arm. The burgundy helmet features a molded white center stripe accented with a red feather motif on the top and back. The figure stands on a square, burgundy-painted base. The underside of the base contains a central circular depression with faint incised characters that are not clearly legible. There are no other visible manufacturer marks or country of origin stamps.
Condition report:
The bobblehead is in good vintage condition, retaining bright and vibrant paint throughout. Notable cosmetic wear includes small paint flakes and chipping along the bottom edges and corners of the square base. Light surface scuffing is present on the top and sides of the helmet. The internal head-connection spring is intact and functional.
