The baseball features the printed designation Official Ball National League, Cushioned Cork Center, and the facsimile signature of National League President A. Bartlett Giamatti, dating the manufacture of the ball to his tenure from 1986 to 1989. The item is authenticated by James Spence Authentication with a certification sticker bearing serial number CK13214 affixed to the ball.
