This is a vintage molded plastic baseball figurine depicting Hall of Famer Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox, attributed to Hartland Plastics. The figure is captured in a left-handed batting follow-through pose. The player wears a cream-colored uniform featuring red piping and a red stripe down the side of the pants. The jersey displays a large red number 9 on the reverse and red block lettering for the team name on the chest. The figure is detailed with navy blue long sleeves and a navy blue cap. An integrated white circular base is attached to the underside of the right cleat. This style of figurine was produced as part of a series of professional baseball statues during the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Condition report:
The figurine exhibits signs of age and play wear. There is significant paint loss and surface scuffing on the navy blue sleeves, the cap, and the black cleats. General surface soiling and minor scuffs are present across the plastic body. The original removable plastic bat is not included.
