The collection primarily consists of issues from the series Astonishing Tales, including #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, #9, #10, #16, #18, and #19. Issue #1 is a notable key book featuring the first solo Doctor Doom feature story. These books are staple-bound newsprint publications featuring contributions from prominent creators such as Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, John Buscema, and Wally Wood. The covers and stories depict characters including Ka-Zar, his companion Zabu, Doctor Doom, Kraven the Hunter, Shanna the She-Devil, and Daredevil.
Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition. Most issues appear to be in mid-grade to high-grade condition, with many copies ranging from Fine to Very Fine. Typical signs of wear include minor spine stress, light edge wear, and small creases on the cover corners. Issue #14 in the 1974 series shows visible chipping at the top edge of the cover. Toning is present on the paper edges and interior pages, which is consistent with the age and material of the publications.
