This collection consists of eight individual comic books from the Bronze Age series The Invincible Iron Man, published by the Marvel Comics Group between 1970 and 1977. The lot features seven unique issues and one duplicate. The collection includes Iron Man issue #23 (March 1970), titled The Man Who Killed Tony Stark!! with a 15 cent cover price and art by Herb Trimpe and Marie Severin. Issues from the mid-1970s include #84 (March 1976) featuring Night of the Walking Bomb! with art by Herb Trimpe and Jack Abel, and #89 (August 1976) featuring a crossover with Daredevil and the Blood Brothers with cover art by Jack Kirby and Frank Giacoia. The lot also contains five issues from 1977 featuring cover art by Jack Kirby and Dan Adkins: issue #95 (February 1977) part one of the Ultimo story arc, two copies of issue #96 (March 1977) continuing the Ultimo arc, issue #97 (April 1977) featuring the Return of the Guardsman, and issue #98 (May 1977) featuring a guest appearance by Sunfire. Condition report:
The comic books are in raw, ungraded condition, generally falling within the mid-grade range from Very Good to Very Fine. All issues exhibit varying degrees of spine stress and color-breaking ticks. Issues #23 and #84 show more significant wear and color loss along the spine folds compared to the later issues. Covers maintain good color and gloss with minor surface scuffing and light corner blunting present throughout the collection. Covers remain attached at both staples for all copies. No significant tearing, missing pages, or moisture damage is visible.
