BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of Approximately 35 Comic Books Featuring Sleeper, Jon Sable Freelance, and Sabre
An assortment of approximately 35 comic books from the 1980s and early 2000s, featuring titles from independent publishers First Comics and Eclipse Comics, alongside the Wildstorm imprint of DC Comics. The collection includes a significant run of the series Sleeper, written by Ed Brubaker with artwork and covers by Sean Phillips. The Sleeper issues include Season One numbers 3, 4, 9, and 12, as well as a consecutive sequence of Season Two issues 1 through 7. The lot is highlighted by Mike Grell’s Jon Sable, Freelance, published by First Comics, which includes issue 1 from June 1983 and approximately 22 additional issues including 4, 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 24, 26, 28, 29, 31, 32, 34, 35, 41, 46, 51, and 52. Additionally, the collection contains issues 11 and 12 of Sabre, written by Don McGregor with art by Jose Ortiz, published by Eclipse Comics. All comics are standard format, ungraded, and appear to be direct sales editions.
Condition report:
The Sleeper issues appear to be in Very Fine to Near Mint condition with minor shelf wear and light spine ticks. The Jon Sable, Freelance issues are in mixed copper-age conditions ranging from Good to Very Fine, with issue 1 showing surface wear and minor spine stress, while other issues exhibit common aging, spine ticks, and edge blunting. The Sabre issues appear in Fine condition with visible spine wear and whitening along the edges. All items are ungraded and complete with covers attached.
