BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A Collection of 22 Marvel and Epic Comics Featuring Groo the Wanderer, ElfQuest, and The Pirates of Dark Water
This collection includes 22 individual comic book issues published by Marvel Comics and its Epic Comics imprint between 1986 and 1991. The primary focus of the lot is a group of 16 issues of Sergio Aragones’ Groo the Wanderer. Included are issue 22 (December 1986), issue 33 (November 1987), and a continuous run from issue 65 (May 1990) through issue 78 (June 1991). The series was created and illustrated by Sergio Aragones, whose signature and year are visible on the covers. Issue 78 prominently features the 50 Years of Captain America anniversary logo.
The collection also contains two issues of ElfQuest, specifically issue 7 (February 1986) and issue 8 (March 1986). These are Marvel color reprints of the original series by Wendy and Richard Pini, with cover art signed by Wendy Pini.
Additionally, there are four issues of The Pirates of Dark Water, part of the Hanna-Barbera Presents line from Marvel Comics. This group includes issue 1 (November 1991), which is the first issue of the limited series based on the animated television show, along with issues 4, 5, and 6.
All comics are standard newsstand or direct market editions. Some issues, specifically Groo 22 and 33, are presented bagged and boarded. The interior pages consist of standard newsprint.
Condition report:
The collection consists of ungraded, raw copies generally presenting in mid-to-high grade condition. Observable wear includes minor spine ticks, light edge wear, and small stress marks along the spines consistent with storage and light handling. Pages exhibit slight off-white to cream-colored aging. There is no evidence of cover detachment, major tearing, or significant moisture damage from the provided images.
