This lot consists of three vintage comic books featuring the character War Machine, published by Marvel Comics in 1994. The collection represents the first three issues of the characters first solo series. War Machine number 1, cover dated April 1994, is the premiere issue and features a grayscale silver-toned cover design. It is a Direct Edition with cover art by Gabriel Gecko and Bob Wiacek. War Machine number 2, dated May 1994, features a guest appearance by the character Cable, with cover art credited to Gabriel Gecko. War Machine number 3, dated June 1994, features cover art by Gabriel Gecko and Eklund. All three comic books are individually housed in protective plastic sleeves with cardboard backing boards.
Condition report:
The comic books are in ungraded condition. All covers remain intact. Issue number 1 shows minor spine stressing and light blunting at the corners. Issue number 2 displays minor visible spine ticks and shelf wear along the edges. Issue number 3 exhibits minor spine wear and light creasing typical for the era. No significant tears or cover detachments are observed.
