This lot features a pair of vintage ERTL Caterpillar (CAT) construction models in their original manufacturer packaging. Both models are highly detailed authentic replicas produced at 1/50 scale. The first model is a Caterpillar D10N Track-Type Tractor, stock number 2436, featuring a moveable hydraulic blade, flexible tracks, and a rear hitch. The second model is a Caterpillar 631E Wheel Tractor Scraper, stock number 2430, featuring articulated/oscillated steering, a moveable hydraulic scraper bowl, an apron, an ejector blade, and rubber tires. Both models are manufactured using die-cast metal components. Each item is housed in its original yellow and black window box with protective white foam internal inserts. The boxes are marked with the CAT and ERTL logos, as well as a gold circular seal stating die-cast metal. These models were manufactured by The Ertl Company in Dyersville, Iowa.
Condition report:
The models appear to be in unused condition within their original packaging. The window boxes exhibit minor shelf wear typical of vintage stock, including light scuffing and minor wear to the corners and edges. The plastic windows are clear and intact.
