BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Two Playmates Star Trek First Contact Electronic Starships in Original Boxes
This lot consists of two vintage electronic starship toys manufactured by Playmates Toys in 1996 to coincide with the release of the motion picture Star Trek: First Contact. Both ships are constructed of molded plastic and are presented in their original retail window packaging. Each item is designated as a Collectors Series Edition and features a gold-tone foil label with an individual serial number.
The first ship is the Phoenix Warp Drive Ship, Stock No. 16147, Serial No. 031755. This model features two button-activated starship sounds and a manual mechanism where activating the primary thruster deploys the pivoting warp nacelles.
The second ship is the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E, Stock No. 16148, Serial No. 029807. This model features three button-activated starship sounds and internal lighting for the warp nacelles and impulse engines. It includes a dedicated Starfleet display stand.
Both vessels require three AAA batteries to operate electronic light and sound features. The reverse of the packaging includes technical ship profiles, instructions, and advertisements for other toys in the First Contact product line.
Condition report:
Both items remain in their original retail boxes with Try Me openings. The boxes show moderate shelf wear, including corner softening, edge rubbing, and minor creasing. The Phoenix box has a Walgreens price sticker and a clearance sticker on the front upper right. The Enterprise box has price and clearance stickers from Kay-Bee Toys on the front lower right and upper right. Electronic functions are currently untested, and vintage batteries likely require replacement to restore functionality.
