Description
BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! A collection of detached interior and splash pages from various Marvel comic book titles dating from the late 1960s through the early 1980s. Featured titles and specific issues identified from the printed publication data on the sheets include Conan the Barbarian No. 5 (May 1971), The X-Men No. 57 (June 1969), No. 60 (September 1969), and No. 61 (October 1969), Captain America and the Falcon (March 1976 and July 1978), and What If? Vol. 1, No. 19 (February 1980). The pages feature work by several prominent comic artists including Jack Kirby, Neal Adams, and Barry Windsor-Smith. The group includes various splash pages, interior narrative sheets, and a full-page color advertisement for LaSalle Extension University. All items are printed on standard period newsprint.
Condition report:
The pages exhibit significant age-related wear consistent with handled newsprint. Visible conditions include heavy yellowing and toning of the paper, edge fraying, small tears, and corner creasing. Several sheets show staple holes or uneven edges from removal from original comic book bindings. One sheet containing a LaSalle Extension University advertisement features a partial cut-out where a coupon was removed.
