A Torbal model DRX-3 Class III professional torsion balance scale manufactured by Vertex Industries Inc. of Clifton, New Jersey. The instrument is constructed with a gray-painted metal housing and a hinged clear acrylic lid. The weighing area features a black finish with two removable stainless steel pans. A central window provides a view of a mechanical balance indicator with a red needle and graduated scale.
