BID PER WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PHOTO, NOT THE AI GENERATED TITLES AND DESCRIPTIONS! Collection of Fifteen New York Yankees Autographed 8×10 Photographs

This lot features fifteen autographed 8×10 photographs of New York Yankees players, primarily representing the team during the late 1950s and 1960s. The collection comprises a mix of color and black-and-white portraits and action images. The signatures are executed in blue, black, or purple ink, with several items containing personalized inscriptions. Players and specific signatures include Jim Bouton (signed Jim Bouton 1962 WS Champs), Tom Tresh (signed Tom Tresh 1962 ROY), two separate photographs of Bill Moose Skowron (one color action shot and one black-and-white inscribed To Nick Best Wishes), Mel Stottlemyre, Joe Pepitone in a batting stance, Al Downing (inscribed To Nick Sr. Best of Life), Bob Feller (signed on a historical black-and-white image of Babe Ruth’s final uniform appearance leaning on Feller’s bat), Hank Bauer (inscribed To Nick Best Wishes), Roy White (signed Roy White number 6), Jack Reed, Bobby Brown (inscribed To Zachary), Jim Coates, Bob Reynolds, and Ken Retzer.

The lot is accompanied by several authentication documents including two Lifetime Certificates of Authenticity from Real McCoy 2 Collectibles for the Mel Stottlemyre and Moose Skowron photographs, and two certification slips from Names of Fame, Inc. for the Tom Tresh and Jim Bouton photographs. A handwritten identification slip for Roy White is also included.

Dimensions: 8 x 10 inches each.

Provenance / Authentication Note: This item originates from a single-owner collection assembled by a dedicated sports fan (with a strong focus on Notre Dame and New York Yankees memorabilia). The collector actively pursued autographs over many years through in-person events, including games, autograph shows, and visits to National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum during player events, as well as through direct mail requests to athletes and celebrities. The collection included supporting material such as handwritten correspondence sent to athletes (in some cases with payment enclosed), along with photographs of the collector with various signers. A portion of this same collection was featured in our March 21st auction, where multiple items were authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA). In regards to any items with signature(s): While this specific item(s) may not be individually submitted for third-party authentication, it originates from the same collection and shows consistency with previously authenticated pieces. As with many large autograph collections, there may be a small number of facsimile or clubhouse-style signatures present, but for the most part we have seen AUTHENTIC SIGNATURES within the collection. Based on the overall provenance and our review, we maintain a strong level of confidence in the authenticity of most items. Bidders are encouraged to review all photos carefully and bid according to their own level of comfort. No additional authentication documentation is included unless visible within the lot photos. Please reach out with any questions.

Condition report:
